| Step by Step by Margaret Fieland We come together in the crowded room, the music so loud talking is impossible. We dance, at first quickly, then more and more slowly, the air becoming thick and difficult to breathe. I put a tentative hand on your shoulder, another at your waist; you, bolder, put your arms around my neck. Our hips touch, then our breasts. My hand slips slowly your arm; your skin is warm, the small hairs tingle. You smile into my eyes. We sway together to the music. If we go outside and lean against the wall we can become more closely acquainted. Lovers A tentative touch, as, tickling and tightly tingling so very vividly, warmly welcomed, we writhe, when with versatile variety, we claim a violent victory. With tender touches we savor a sweet satisfaction and silently slip back to sleep. ©2006 by Margaret Fieland All rights reserved. |
