The Last Romance
By David K. T.
Sing song soft, caressing stolen lips
Intertwined, twisted, your thighs
melted.
As the night and the sounds faded from the forest
It repeats the bittersweet memory,
of what might have been,
a passion no greater the first backseat kiss
You searched in the crevices and hilltops of the gods.
Wildfires, your unlikely flourishes were barely a whim.
Dancing, forgetting, immersed in your trance
You forgot what made you a nymph of the mind.
Sightless, you surge, surviving your fleeting romances,
that were forever thrust,
upon the lower depths of my heart…..
