The Alembic of Forbidden Love
by Diar
His lips tremble with the kisses
he chain-links across the inside of my neck
as he shivers the vocal
chords of my soul
with the vibrating echoes
of the fulfillment of our overdue desire;
the remnants of my Orphic song,
primal rhythms mixed with musk and patchouli,
empty the vessels of their ecstasy into my ears
as I blindly run my fingers over the
sun-scorched, shipwrecked
verses of my longing
that lie scattered along
the tanned, sand-speckled shore of his skin.
